On the Get It Done League podcast Josh Donaldson threw some shade at his former team. He started his rant saying, “I don’t think people in Minnesota even care about baseball that much” and ended it saying the culture wasn’t exactly a winning culture during his time.
First off, what a clown. Josh Donaldson has been known to be a toxic teammate in almost all the stops he made in his MLB career. How about the time he got kicked out of a game against the White Sox after hitting a home run to puff his chest out. A game that was crucial to the playoff push in the shortened 2020 covid season.
Cool Josh. How about that time he pimped a couple wall balls and ended up getting thrown out each time?
Nice work idiot. Is Josh Donaldson the most hate able former MN athlete? He sure is making a case! Let’s take a look at some other honorable mentions.

Now onto the state of Minnesota not caring about baseball. I think the only one who didn’t care about baseball during Donaldson’s stint as a Twin was Donaldson himself. He missed 55 games in two seasons as a Twin, including the 2020 playoffs. He routinely also challenged the coaching and front office staff. Safe to say he thought he was above the Twins when he was here.
Also, are there many states who have a tradition and history with the game of baseball like the state of Minnesota does? People in this state love the game of baseball. Not just at the Major League level, but the amateur level as well. Small town communities come out in droves to watch their local teams play. Last year in Hutchinson, over 10,000 people came out to watch the town ball state tournament. Amateur baseball is a tradition like no other in our great state.
Last but not least. Don’t forget the Twins traded Josh Donaldson for peanuts before the 2022 season. Suck it Josh.
