Let me get this right, Tommy McClelland is saying don’t go to Indiana if you want to win National Championships? Don’t go to the school that just went 16-0, won the National Championship by beating the likes of Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, and Miami? And happened to beat Purdue by a measly score of 56-3??
All I can say is, lord have mercy on Purdue Football when they play Indiana this year. It might be 56-3 at halftime if Purdue is lucky. I know Cignetti doesn’t worry about a program like Purdue who is in the cellar of the Big Ten, but you just know he’s going to make a statement out of this when they play.
And last I checked, Purdue as a school has only won three national championships total. I give the new AD credit for shooting for the moon and making a bold statement, but taking a jab at Curt Cignetti and Indiana probably wasn’t the best way to do it.
